I was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawai’i, and moved to Southern California in 1999 to attend the University of LaVerne.   Shortly after beginning my college education, I learned of my mother’s degenerative liver disease and the fact that I was a perfect match for a living-donor transplant.  In order to be closer to the transplant center in Colorado, our family relocated to Spokane.   After two years of testing and waiting, we were blessed with a matching deceased-donor liver and a successful transplant.   Having spent so much time exploring the Inland Northwest, I chose to take up roots and become a permanent resident.  I met my beautiful wife and started a family.  I also found my passion as I began my career in Real Estate.  I now enjoy every opportunity to help people, as they realize their dreams of home ownership, and the reality of owning the home of their dreams.

Kathleen has been a licensed Realtor since 2005. She has been associated with Tomlinson Black North, Windermere North, Spokane Real Estate and Property Management, and is currently with The 'Ohana Group Northwest at Keller Williams Realty Spokane. Kathleen is CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) eligible and is a Certified Negotiation Expert. Kathleen is an active property manager/owner for a professional office building, as well as for a few residential properties. Real Estate is her passion, personally and professionally and her services will show her clients that she loves what she does. Besides Kathleen's experience in real estate she has co-owned and managed a successful business for ten years, until she sold her interest and pursued a real estate career. This experience gives her the business savvy and an edge in the real estate business. Kathleen is a mother of two grown children, ages 22 and 25, as well as a young man, age 11. She enjoys golfing in fair weather, hockey games and remodeling her house in Colbert.

I was born and raised in Hawai'i and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Hawai'i. There, my wife and I started our family and worked as business owners for 25 years.  We moved to Spokane in 2000 because my wife needed a liver transplant.  Since my wife attended high school in Spokane and graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle, we decided that the Inland Northwest was a good choice for us.  Both of our children now reside in the Pacific Northwest and we all love it here.  In my spare time, I enjoy coaching track and girls basketball at a local Spokane school.  In Hawaiian, 'ohana means family, and we strive to treat you like our family in all of your real estate endeavors.

In the summer of 2006 my little family packed up our car and headed out of California, on a quest for something fresh and new.  We traveled up the coast until we hit Seattle.  We spent several weeks there until curiousity got the best of us and we hit the I-90 heading East on open road.  Spokane was the last place we ever imagined we'd stop, let alone choose to take up roots.  Once we paused and took a breath, we realized that Spokane is a fantastic place to live and to raise a family.  We've lived in our home for the past four and a half years, and have learned so much about the area, the people, and the tightly knit Spokane community .  Real Estate has always been a passion of mine, and I feel so blessed to be able help others in their pursuit of the American dream of home ownership.  I also feel blessed to be a part of The 'Ohana Northwest Group. Together we won't settle for anything less than excellence in Real Estate, and service beyond expectation.
